The two things that decide your trip

First: the ticket. There is no public general sale for Liverpool home league games. Without a season ticket or All Red membership with credit history, official hospitality is realistically your route in. Sort this before you book flights.

Second: the geography. Anfield is about two miles north-east of the city centre with no train station of its own, so every journey ends in a bus, taxi or 25–30 minute walk. Getting out afterwards, with 61,000 others, is harder than getting in.

Everton and the second ground

Liverpool is a two-club city, which opens up the possibility of a two-match weekend. We haven't published Everton or second-stadium guides yet because we don't have sourced content for them — and we'd rather leave a gap than pad one out.
