The short version for a first visit

Secure an official ticket before booking a non-refundable trip. On matchday, allow more time than a normal city-centre journey: the nearest useful stations still leave a walk, shuttle buses become busy, and controlled roads change the final approach. If you can comfortably walk from the centre, the waterfront route avoids much of the queueing around buses and trains.

Download your digital ticket to your phone wallet before leaving your accommodation. Do not assume mobile reception will rescue a last-minute login at the turnstile. Your ticket determines the entrance, level and section, so follow that information rather than choosing a gate from a generic stadium map.

Which stand is which?

The stadium has North, East, South and West stands. The East Stand faces the main arrival plaza and contains the official club store. Everton's own stand guide describes it as the first stand supporters see on the stadium footprint, with home seating on Levels 0 and 2 and hospitality above.

The North Stand sits behind a goal. Its north-west corner includes the family area, while visiting supporters occupy the lower north-east corner across parts of the North and East stands. That away section has its own concourse and includes rail seating. Away supporters should use the instructions issued by their own club because allocation and entry details are fixture-specific.

For home tickets, use Everton's official virtual venue when it is offered in the purchase flow. It is more useful than a flat diagram because it lets you compare the view from an available section. Pick from the inventory you can actually buy; do not choose a preferred stand first and then turn to an unofficial reseller to find it.

Getting there and getting away

Sandhills, Bank Hall and Moorfields are all described by Merseytravel as being within walking distance. Sandhills is expected to be popular and is the advised rail option after the match, but using it may involve managed queues. Four matchday shuttle routes also connect the stadium area with Liverpool city centre, Bootle and Kirkby.

The simplest route depends on your mobility, accommodation and onward train. A city-centre walk can be a good default for fit visitors; a shuttle may reduce walking but add queue risk; rail can work well if you leave enough margin. Entry, bags and accessibility

Everton's premium-stadium information says bags are limited to no larger than A4 size. Rules can differ for an event or change after a security review, so treat A4 as the maximum—not a target—and check the club's current matchday guide before setting off. Travelling light also makes security checks and the post-match journey easier.

The stadium includes accessible entrances, wheelchair platforms, accessible toilets, Changing Places facilities and quiet rooms across its stands. Merseytravel lists a free, pre-booked accessible shuttle between Sandhills Station and Boundary Street, around 175 metres from the stadium.
