Help the next visiting supporter

Document the journey.

We welcome first-hand reports from Liverpool, Manchester and London. The useful details are the ones a normal map misses: which exit you took, the queue you joined, when you left the ground and what you would change next time.

What to include

• Your name, credit preference and visit date.
• The fixture or event, route, start and end points.
• Separate walking time, waiting time and vehicle time. Label estimates.
• Original photos showing station exits, wayfinding, approaches and public facilities.
• Photo captions with location, date and the practical point illustrated.
• Links to current club or transport guidance and any discrepancy you observed.
• Any commercial relationship, complimentary ticket or compensation.

Evidence and permission

Send only photos you took and have the right to share. Avoid ticket barcodes, personal documents and identifiable close-ups of bystanders without permission. A photo of a step-free sign does not establish that an entire route is accessible; describe what you observed and identify any parts you did not use.

We review submissions before publication, may ask follow-up questions and will agree attribution and publication permission with you. Submitting is not a guarantee of publication or payment. Attach photos to your email with matching filenames in your notes; please do not send booking-account passwords or private ticket credentials.

A useful Liverpool research day

Record a city-centre approach to Anfield and a waterfront approach to Hill Dickinson Stadium. If attending a fixture, time the return separately and record the crowd conditions. Photograph public wayfinding, crossing points and station approaches. Collect tour observations only if you actually book and attend a tour. Keep field observations separate from official rules you looked up later.
