Independent football travel publication

About
Matchday Abroad

Matchday Abroad is an independently operated football travel publication. We help supporters plan the practical parts of a trip: buying legitimate tickets, choosing where to sit, reaching the stadium, understanding entry rules, finding accommodation and getting home after the final whistle.

What we publish

Our current editorial focus is evergreen destination, club and stadium guidance. The 2026 World Cup broadcaster material is retained only as a clearly labelled historical research archive. It is separated from current trip-planning advice and is not presented as live coverage information.

How we verify information

We start with first-party sources such as official club ticketing pages, stadium rules, public transport operators and destination authorities. Guides show a last-verified date and include their sources where practical. If a useful detail cannot be confirmed, we label the gap instead of turning an assumption into a fact. Our full process is set out in the editorial policy.

Independence and revenue

Matchday Abroad is not affiliated with FIFA, Liverpool FC, any stadium, broadcaster, hotel, ticket seller or VPN provider unless a page explicitly says otherwise. The site may earn revenue from advertising and clearly labelled affiliate links. Payment never guarantees editorial coverage, a positive assessment or a particular ranking. Read the affiliate disclosure and privacy policy for details.

Corrections and contact

Football travel information changes quickly. If you spot an outdated ticket rule, transport detail or source link, email hello@matchdayabroad.com. Please include the page URL and a first-party source where possible. We review material corrections and update the page or add a clarification when the evidence supports a change.
