Plan in the right order

Start with ticket eligibility, not airfare. A fixture can move for broadcast or cup scheduling, and a club may restrict standard seats to members with purchase history. Once you have a legitimate route to a ticket, choose accommodation for the return journey you actually intend to use.

Next, plan two transport routes: the journey into the ground and the journey out. The same station or bus can behave very differently after full time. Leave enough margin for managed queues and avoid booking the last practical train home unless the operator's matchday plan makes that connection realistic.
