Anfield holds 61,276 across four stands. Each has a distinct character — and the difference between them matters more here than at most grounds.
Single tier behind the western goal, and the most vocal part of the ground. Named after Spion Kop. This is where the atmosphere is generated — and where "You'll Never Walk Alone" is loudest before kick-off, sung by the whole stadium.
Three tiers following its 2016 expansion, and home to most of the hospitality lounges. The largest of the four stands.
Renamed in 2017 — it was the Centenary Stand before that, and originally the Kemlyn Road Stand. Runs along the side opposite the Main Stand.
Expanded in 2024 to two tiers and roughly 15,967 capacity — the biggest single change to the ground in recent years. Away fans are housed here.
The total of 61,276 is well sourced. The split between stands is not — reputable sources disagree materially (the Main Stand is quoted anywhere from ~12,000 to ~20,676). We're not going to pick one and present it as fact.

The honest trade-off: the Kop gives you the noise and the singing, but a first-time visitor sometimes prefers a side stand for a cleaner view of the play. There's no objectively correct answer, and we'd rather flag the trade-off than invent a recommendation.
