Anfield · Visiting supporters

Where do away fans sit at Anfield?

Away supporters are housed in the Anfield Road End, with an allocation commonly cited at around 3,000 — though it changes by competition.

The away section

Visiting fans are placed in the Anfield Road End — the stand that was expanded to two tiers in 2024, taking it to roughly 15,967 seats overall. Away support is generally in the lower tier, towards the Main Stand side.

Allocation is typically around 3,000, but that figure moves depending on the competition — Premier League, domestic cup and European fixtures are all allocated differently.

BE CAREFUL WITH EXACT BLOCKS

Sources disagree on the precise tier and corner — some describe a lower-tier block on the Main Stand side, others an upper corner. Since the answer also shifts by competition, we won't state a block number as fact.

NOT YET VERIFIED the exact away block for a given competition, and whether it shifts for European nights — confirm per fixture with your club's ticket office

Practical notes for visiting fans

  • Away tickets are sold through your own club, not Liverpool — Anfield's membership and credit system doesn't apply to you.
  • The A5 bag limit applies to away fans exactly as it does to home supporters, and there's no storage at the ground.
  • Expect the whole ground to sing "You'll Never Walk Alone" before kick-off — it's worth being in your seat for it.
